Get to know me

I hold a Master's degree in Design and Visual Communication, a Diploma of Public Understanding of Science and a Diploma of Natural History Illustration, and a Bachelor's degree in Graphic design.

I have dedicated my career to design creatively, making images and graphics that are engaging with their users whilst matching brand style, look and feel. Also, I contributed in creating visuals based on scientific information (Biology and Ecology mainly) through posters presented at various international conferences to showcase the diversity of Mexican species. I designed infographics, manuals, and magazines, such as the design of Oikos=, published by the Institute of Ecology at UNAM, as well as branding for conference events. As an illustrator, I have ventured into the field of botany, collaborating on the description of new plant species discoveries.

In the academic field, I have conducted research on the interdisciplinary relationship between Design and Science, a topic that is still not fully recognized but is necessary to explore. The foundation of this research was laid during my Science Communication Diploma and Natural History Illustration Diploma alongside with my research at the University of Plymouth in the UK.

I have successfully managed and coordinated design projects from concept to completion, working closely with scientists and diverse industry clients to establish their vision and meet deadlines and requirements.

I firmly believe that learning from areas outside of our own provides us with tools to broaden our perspective, create new areas of knowledge in Design, and be creative in solving visual communication problems in other professional sectors.
